Please Support Our Community Deli Project!
Local resident Vicky Skingley plans to open a community-centred grocery store and delicatessen, Good Food Catford, on Sandhurst Market. The deli will offer local, seasonal foods and basic goods and aims to help breath a new lease of life into this local shopping parade. Vicky is raising money by crowdfunding, and also seeking for support from the Mayor's High Street Fund to make the project happen.
Crowdfunding works on the principle that lots of people pledge a small amount of money - say, £5, £10 or whatever they can afford - to make a project happen. People can pledge money for Vicky's project by visiting the Spacehive crowdfunding website at: https://www.spacehive.com/goodfoodcatford.
Vicky needs to raise £5,000 from our community to be eligible for match-funding from the Mayor's High Street Fund. The more money she raises, and the more community members that pledge their support, the better her chances of winning the Mayor's funding. She aims to raise at lease £7,000 by the end of August.

Recent community surveys show there is lots of support for more shops and cafes in our neighbourhood. With your support we could soon be enjoying fresh bread, quality groceries and produce on our very own Sandhurst Parade!
